What times are the bollards up?
Bollards rise at 11:30am and fall at 6am daily (vehicles can access between 6am and 11:30am)
When can delivery vehicles access the city centre?
Delivery vehicles can access between 6am and 11:30am.
There are 2 specifically marked loading bays on High Street which should be used. No vehicles should be parked on the footway when making deliveries.
Can tradespeople access at other times?
No, they will need to adhere to the same times as all other vehicles.
What if there is a work/specific need to park in the city centre that cannot be done during the times the bollards are down?
You can apply for a parking dispensation. This will be considered on a case by case basis and we reserve the right to refuse any application made.
A dispensation must be applied for 5 days in advance and if approved payment must be made, where applicable, within 24 hours.
What if I have to organise emergency works to my building?
Businesses and residents in the city centre have been provided with details of the number to contact if emergency access is required.
What if I notice a fault on the bollards?
Faults can be reported to bollards@wrexham.gov.uk
Can I be given access all the time?
No, access is prohibited between the hours of 11:30am and 6am for all vehicles except those on an automatic approval list or who have had a parking dispensation approved.
Who is responsible for the bollards?
Wrexham Council, with the bollards being monitored directly by CCTV.
Will there be occasions when the bollards are not going to be up?
No, the bollards will be up every day, 365 days a year.
I live in the city centre, can I have access?
Unless you have a designated parking space, you cannot have access and will need to park elsewhere if you have a vehicle.

I am a taxi driver, can I access through the bollards for pick ups/drop offs?
Apollo Taxis will have access as their office is within the city centre prohibition zone. Their access is for Charles Street only.
No other access for taxis/hackney carriages is permitted.
