Scheme: Community Support Service

  • Eligibility: People fleeing domestic violence, and their children.

Service description

The community support service is available as a first point of contact for anyone needing support or advice around domestic abuse.

The service offers emotional and practical support, including some ‘target hardening’ items to help keep people safe in their homes. DASU will ask individuals a series of questions to assess the risk of ongoing harm and to gain further information to help put a package of support together. They can advise on what to do next and help keep people safe.

The Live Fear Free Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone needing support about domestic violence (0808 80 10 800).
