Course details: This course is appropriate for anyone involved in carrying out the supervision and appraisal of staff e.g. managers, deputy managers, supervisors and other senior staff members.

It will provide you with an understanding of:

• The features of effective supervision and appraisal
• The importance of effective supervision and appraisal 
• Managing performance issues
• Benefits to those using the service
• Relevant legislation
• Key management skills

Those attending the course will gain an understanding of the importance of effective supervision and appraisals. In addition, those attending the course will appreciate the key role they play in improving staff performance and morale, leading to positive outcomes for both the organisation and service users.
