This is one of six UK Shared Prosperity Key Funds available in Wrexham County Borough.
The purpose of this grant is to help financially viable enterprises to start-up, grow / expand or improve performance.
Funding for the grant is provided by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Grant scheme summary
- Open to qualifying pre-start and existing enterprises (generating revenue from business activity) that will run or are running, in Wrexham County Borough.
- Can support, as a reimbursement, up to 50% of the costs for an eligible capital and / or specialist revenue expenditure project – the grant amount you request must range from £3,000 to £50,000.
- At least two of the grant schemes set objectives must be met, with outputs being proportionate to the grant value requested.
- Project outputs must be achieved by October 31, 2024 at the latest.
- An enterprise must have the means (either through its own or other funds) to fully finance the project costs initially
- The grant scheme will remain open until September 1, 2024 or until all available funding has been fully committed.
- This is a discretionary grant – applications will be subject to initial assessment by our Business and Investment team and approval by a grant panel.
Expressions of interest will be assessed on a first come first served basis and invitations to submit a full application will be issued in the same order. The decision whether to offer a grant will be made based on funding remaining available, eligibility, value for money in terms of outputs to be achieved and in line with the scheme’s aims and objectives.
