The Wrexham Shared Prosperity Fund is inviting applications from £50,000 to £700,000 to support projects that will seek to deliver meaningful outcomes benefiting communities within Wrexham County Borough.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) 2025-2026 proactively supports UK Government Mission delivery, pushing power out to communities everywhere, with a specific focus to help kickstart economic growth and promoting opportunities. The five missions are:
- Mission 1: Kickstart economic growth
- Mission 2: Make Britain a clean energy superpower
- Mission 3: Take back our streets
- Mission 4: Break down barriers to opportunity
- Mission 5: Build an NHS fit for the future
2025-2026 mission-led themes are mapped into three priority areas;
- Communities and Place
- Support for Local Business
- People and Skills
Within these priorities are 5 themes and 12 sub-themes.

Outputs and outcomes
The list has been simplified so there are now 28 outputs and 30 outputs outcomes that can be selected. They are not limited to certain themes or sub-themes, however should only be selected where relevant to your project.
Points to consider when making your application
As well as demonstrating alignment with the UKSPF itself, projects seeking support in Wrexham must:
- show how they add value to, and are integrated with, current and planned activity in the relevant field, avoiding duplication
- engaged with, and gained support from, relevant stakeholders within the field of activity and localities in which they will be operating
- help in realising - or be aligned with - relevant regional and national policies and strategies including the new government missions to kickstart economic growth and promote opportunities
- understand and address the needs of the local areas in which they intend to operate and help realise the relevant local priorities / strategies
Who can apply?
Local authorities, public sector organisations, higher and further education institutions, private sector companies, constituted voluntary or community organisations and registered charities.
Project costs
Project costs will be reported against investment priorities, themes and sub-themes.
Within the application form there is a mandatory field to be completed to assign each expenditure cost type against an investment priority, theme and sub-theme. Please only choose from the priorities, themes and sub-themes that you have selected as part of your application.
Revenue costs
Staff costs related to the project, training costs, transport related to the project, utilities or running costs related to the project, room hire, tutor costs, volunteer expenses, administration costs, marketing, case study creation, costs to produce resource/engagement packs, costs for delivering your project bilingually such as translation costs.
Capital costs
Please note this is a 12 month programme and all works must be completed by the end date of the project and no later than March 31, 2026. Please ask if you require further clarification.
