You can pay your Council Tax in a number of different ways.

Telephone payments

Call 0300 3336500 and follow the simple instructions to pay your Council Tax on the phone, using your credit or debit card.

This runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Internet banking

You can pay your Council Tax using internet banking, our bank details are:

You must quote your account reference number; you’ll find this on your Council Tax Demand.

Register for Council Tax

If you’re new to Wrexham or liable to pay Council Tax for the first time, let us know so we can set up your account.

You can do this by emailing counciltax@wrexham.gov.uk with the following details:

  • The address and postcode of the property
  • The completion date if you have bought the property, or the start date of your contract if you are renting the property
  • The date you actually moved into the property (or proposed date if you have not yet moved in) 

We will send you a confirmation bill which will include your Council Tax account reference number. You will then be able to pay using any of the methods on this page, as well as being able to request any discounts you are eligible for.
