If you can't take your bin to the kerbside, we may be able to help by arranging assisted collections for your rubbish, recycling and garden waste.
The collection crew will not come into your home or collect from sheds or garages.
Eligibility
You are likely to be eligible for the assisted collection service if you meet one point from the following mobility criteria as well as one point from the household criteria:
Mobility criteria
- You are aged over 80 and your property is difficult to access (for example you have steps or a steep slope)
- You have a Blue Badge from us (Wrexham Council)
- You are registered blind by us (Wrexham Council)
- You are receiving higher rate disability living allowance or have a PIP award letter (8 or more points under the "Moving around" category or 12 points under the "Planning and following a journey" category).
- You have dementia and a letter of diagnosis or a letter from the memory clinic
Household criteria
- You live alone or there is no-one in the household between the age of 16 and 80
- If there is someone else in the household between 16 and 80 and they would meet the mobility criteria above
