Thinking of working in the care sector?

WeCare Wales aims to encourage more people with the right skills and values to work in social care, including those who haven’t considered a care role before.

A career in care could be perfect for you if you:

  • are a people orientated person and have an interest in making a real difference to people’s everyday lives
  • have a positive attitude and a commitment to care for others
  • want to challenge yourself with a job that is different every day

If this sounds like you then now could be the right time for you to start a new career in care.

Whether you want to work with children or adults, you can gain any training and qualifications you need on the job. There are also opportunities to work flexibly so you can fit in caring for others around your own life.

The WeCare Wales website shows the wide range of available roles and explains what they involve, as well as providing stories from people already working in care and jobs listings.

If you’re looking for a job you can also check our council jobs portal for any current social care vacancies.
