Welcome to the Wrexham County Borough Council Death Index search facility.
This online death search facility has been produced as a result of the collaboration of the Clwyd Family History Society (external link) with the co-operation of the Wrexham Register Office to make the index of these records freely searchable through the Internet.
At the Wrexham Register Office, the Superintendent Registrar is responsible for the safe custody of all the deposited registers of births, deaths and marriages since 1st July 1837. (This is when official records of births, deaths and marriages in England and Wales began).
The Clwyd Family History Society was founded in 1980, and now has more than 1100 members worldwide.
The Society is a member of the Federation of Family History Societies and the Association of Family History Societies of Wales.
The deaths index search facility allows you to search through the death index of the Wrexham County Borough for the years 1837 to 1950, and shows a name, registration region and the period of the event.
Full details of information can be obtained by the issue of a certificate from the Wrexham Register Office. Should you have any queries with the search facility please contact the Register Office.
